Sunday School Support Programme

About our Sunday School Support Programme

Sunday School teachers are sometimes seen as “glorified” babysitters. Children’s Ministry goes beyond just keeping the children out of the room so the adults can worship God with peace of mind. It’s not secondary. It’s the main thing – the most sensitive part of ministry. Sadly most ministries don’t know this. Some who know it also don’t take steps to treat it as the most important aspect of their ministries. That’s why at Young Overcomers, we seek to give the support that most teachers lack in this all-important part of the body of Christ.

Meet Abigail and Kekeli Buckner – a dynamic duo with a passion for children! Since 2015, they have been on an incredible journey filled with valuable lessons and experiences. By God’s grace, what started as a prophecy has now blossomed into a mission to bless the body of Christ. From starting their first Good News Club in Kumasi back in 2015 to venturing into mainstream Sunday school teaching in Love Economy Church, Madina, Accra in 2018, they have truly come a long way. With God’s grace guiding them, Abigail and Kekeli are excited to share all that they have learned along the way. Get ready to be inspired by their story and enriched by their knowledge!

Training for new Sunday School teachers

Many people come into Children’s Ministry not knowing what to teach or how to teach. They usually have to maneuver their way through the process alone. Not to mention that they lack the necessary resources needed to train children properly in the way of God. Our training and resources are free for churches and people who are interested in running good news clubs in their neighbourhoods. Let’s support you to do Children’s Ministry right.
